In March 2007 the governing body of the ‘World Fire-Fighter Games’ selected Daegu as their host city in 2010 and organisers are extending an invitation to all UK based fire-fighters to join them at the World Fire-fighter Games in August this year. The Games which are held every two years attract fire-fighters from all over the world to compete in an Olympics style event especially for fire-fighters.

The World Fire-fighters Games will be held in Daegu, Korea from the 23rd-30th August with 5,000 participants from 40 countries are expected to compete in 61 events. Current and retired fire-fighters and their families can compete in the Games. The Games were held last year in Liverpool, UK.
