The British International Taekwondo Championships & UK Sport Taekwondo have confirmed a new partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization. Often cited as the ‘home of taekwondo’, the partnership is geared towards engaging with fans of the martial art, opening up travel offers to the membership base of Sport Taekwondo UK and the British Taekwondo Control Board over the next 12 months.

Ramy Salameh, Korea Tourism Organization, said: “We are very happy to become associated with UK Sport Taekwondo and look forward to engaging with the audiences that such a partnership will allow access too. We are also happy to provide our knowledge and expertise to further stimulate interest in Korea as the ‘home of Taekwondo.”

The recent ‘British International Taekwondo Championships’ (24^th & 25^th Sept) held in Manchester recently, provided the perfect event and occasion to ‘kick-start’ the partnership between KTO and UK Sport Taekwondo. VIP’s from the world of Taekwondo gathered at the International event, which proved an excellent opportunity to share new ideas about how to promote Korea through the sport.
