Press Release - ITV's 'Blind Date' Show Visits Korea - May. 17, 5.30pm
On Saturday 17th May, 2003 Blind Date – ITV’s hugely popular game show will feature Korea as a prize destination chosen by a couple looking for love. The contestants tried their hand at making ceramic pottery, experienced Buddhist Temple life and practised the art of Taekwondo in Seoul. So tune in on 26th April to find out if love blossomed in the ‘land of the morning clam’.
Korea National Tourism Organization supported the ITV team to host and film the contestants in Korea. Korea was chosen as a perfect destination especially since it had recently successfully hosted the Korea/ Japan FIFA World Cup 2002. Air travel was supplied courtesy of Korean Air.
Blind Date's huge TV audiences will be able to see some very positive images of Korea, which is especially welcome during these difficult times.
