The Travel Phone 1330 begins 24-hour
The Travel Phone 1330 service provides valuable travel information for foreign tourists from Tourism experts fluent in English, Japanese and Chinese. The service is now operational for 24-HOURS rather than 9am - 8pm as previously piloted. Depending on where you are in the country, if you dial the simple number 1330 from any landline, you will be connected to your nearest tourist information centre or if that is closed our very own Tourist Information Centre (TIC) in Seoul. Calls cost no more than a regular local tariff.

The Korea National Tourism Organization is bolstering a faltering tourism market that has been over shadowed by the SARS issue and the North Korean nuclear programme. Since July the KNTO has been actively targeting major tourism markets for Korea, with online promotions in conjunction with Yahoo! The campaign uses a variety of marketing tools, such as online promotions, quizzes, surveys and prize give-aways. The July theme was 'Healthy Korea' using images of Kimchi. The September campaign will run under the 'Dynamic Korea' banner and will highlight autumn festivals in Korea's harvest season. November will herald the 'Fun Korea' & 'Ski Korea' which will highlight the splendour of Korea in winter.
A tour of the DMZ with North Korea escapees
A one-day travel programme has been created to tour the DMZ and has been growing in popularity. The reason for such popularity is the fact that your guide is a North Korean Escapee, a unique guide and clearly the best companion for such a tour. The one-day programme takes in the 3rd tunnel, Dorasan station and Odusan Reunification Observatory. The tour leaves daily (except for Mondays and National Holidays) from the Lotte Hotel in Seoul. A walking tour of Seoul
The capital city of the Joseon era (1392 – 1910), Seoul, developed around four main gates that connected the capital to the rest of the world. Within these four gates most of Seoul’s historical artefacts. This makes it ideal for walking tours, which have just been introduced by Seoul City. A Cultural Information officer accompanies the tours. The officer has been designated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government who can provide expert narration to participants.
