Templstay Programmes
Templestay: The Jogye and Cheontae Orders of Korean Buddism have opened their temples for tourists to experience the temple life of monks and nuns under a new templestay programme. It features 14 major temples throughout the nation, showcasing diverse programmes for foreigners including Zen meditation, barugong-yang monastic meals, tea ceromies, Buddist martial art called seonmudo, exhibition of some 80,000 ancient wooden printing blocks called the Tripitaka Koreana registered on the ONESCO World Culture Heritage list and introduction of the printing process.
