New Stopover strategy and logo to promote Seoul

Korea Tourism Organization is focusing its energies towards promoting Stopovers to Seoul. We believe that Seoul can rival any of the major cities in Asia for culture, diversity and experience.

Our main focus at World Travel Market 2005 was the promotion of Stopovers and increased twin centre options to Korea. Korea has already hosted two fams to Seoul (One of which capatalised on Korean Air's new routing to Fiji); the other was a 3-day stopover in Seoul promoting the best the city has to offer. With more fams planned in 2006 we are anticipating a number of tour operators to offer Stopovers to Seoul. To this end we have created a ‘Stopover Seoul, Shopping Seoul’ logo which will feature on the stand and future advertising.

Seoul prides itself on its fabulous range of shopping opportunities. Ranging from open air markets that stay open through-out the night to neon-lit boulevards with designer shops hugging the curbs. This is complimented with traditional or modern dining facilities and a buzzing café culture.
