Korea Tourism Organization Announces New Corporate Image
World Travel Market 2005 saw Korea Tourism Organization launch a new logo and organization name to keep pace with current trends. This has been triggered by the ‘Korean Wave’ or growing popularity of Korean arts and culture has also indicated a significant interest in all things Korean and we expect further interest and the exchange of tourists between the UK and Korea.
The new Corporate Image (CI) has been designed to illustrate the image of welcoming a visitor. The design incorporates the first Korean character of Korea Tourism Organization, with the circle at the top if the CI representing the globe and the role of the organization to promote Korea’s culture worldwide. The arm-like image symbolizes the open arms of welcome and also the welcoming smile of Koreans, The circle on the very bottom of the CI symbolizes perfect harmony and infinity.
The Director of the London office of the Korea Tourism Organization commented, “Our new corporate image reflects progress, contemporary taste and the ability for our organization to keep pace with new trends effecting Korean tourism. We will use WTM 2005 to launch the new logo in the UK and continue to build on this year’s successes as we move toward 2006”.
