R-16 (R in R-16 refers to ‘Respect’) is a massive month-long event held in September where over 200 artists, musicians, grassroots content creators, promoters, producers, urban enthusiasts, Hip-Hop heads and B-Boys from around the world convene to showcase all aspects of urban youth cultures and modern arts. The R-16 main event is a huge international B-Boy competition where 16 of the world’s best crews are invited to participate in a crew battle to showcase skills and determine who is crowned the best.
