The New Delhi office of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) recently conducted a Familiarization trip to South Korea in collaboration with Air India, the flag carrier airline of India.

The trip for Travel Agencies across India was conducted during 25^th – 28^th November, 2019. A total of 12 different travel agencies participated in the trip. Covering Seoul and nearby Gyeonggi, the main aim of the trip was to provide the travel agents with a first-hand experience of travel to Korea along with the most up-to-date information to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge to sell the destination.

Special importance was given to the easy and varied availability of Indian food for travellers to Korea. There are more than a 100 Indian restaurants throughout Korea and the group was quite satisfied with the array of choice. Recognizing the importance of availability of Indian food while travelling, KTO also released a special guide this year called “Indian-friendly Restaurants in Korea” for the benefit of Indian travellers to Korea.
