The Korea Tourism Organization will be releasing its most updated version of the VisitKorea mobile app on September 20, 2019. This new and improved VisitKorea app integrates English, Japanese, and Chinese all in one app, allowing users to obtain the same consistent information regardless of language as well as switch to a preferred language with ease at any time.

Since its initial launch in 2011, the VisitKorea mobile app has remained one of the main resources for gathering essential information for traveling in Korea. The app offers regional recommendations on popular attractions, restaurants, accommodations, shops and festivals.

With the update, VisitKorea app users can look forward to the newly added My Trip feature. My Trip feature is divided into three distinct functions: Save Trip, On Trip, and Take Trip. Save Trip allows users to manage and save attractions they are interested in, On Trip uses GPS signals to track and record the user’s trip itinerary on a real-time basis, and Take Trip gives experience points to users for visiting attractions that are listed on the Top 100 Must-Visit Tourist Spots in Korea. Also, the app recommends tourist attractions according to the user’s provided information, preferences, and travel pattern for a more personal travel experience.

For users who currently have the VisitKorea app installed, an update notification will show up upon launching the app on September 20, 2019.
