KOREA TRAVEL SEMINAR

The Korea Tourism Organization Manila held the Korea Travel Seminar for travel agents at the Legaspi I ballroom of Makati Diamond Residence last April 14, 2016. The objective of the event is mainly to encourage travel agencies to participate & support KTO Manila’s projects and to educate them with the updated supports and products of KTO and also the policy on Korean visa.

KTO's assistant managers, Mr. John Bonifacio and Ms. Katrina Catajay discussed the Corporate Meetings and Incentive Support, Korean Route and the shooting locations for the highest rated K-Drama in 2016, Descendants of the Sun.

This was followed by the Tour Testimony given by Mr. Martin Yambao, managing editor of The Philippine Star, who shared his experiences on the familiarization trip he had with KTO and their partner travel agents.


 


On behalf of the Korea Embassy, Ms. Hyejin Jang, assistant manager of KTO Manila, presented the visa guidelines and Q&A segment. Questions were collected before the event and was given to the embassy for answering. Answers to the travel agents' queries were explained by Ms. Jang for clarification.

The event was a success finishing with a raffle draw of special items to 10 lucky participants. The informative talks, especially the Product Update and Visa Q&A was greatly appreciated by the 70 different travel agents who attended.
