Last June 16, 2016, the Korea Tourism Organization Manila Office organized the Shoot in Korea event at the New World Makati Hotel to promote the Korea Tourism image brand as the ideal location for shooting films and dramas through the support of local producer and directors.



Among the participants of the event were representatives from ABS-CBN Star Cinema, GMA Network, TV5, APT Entertainment, Inc., Unitel Productions, Inc.-Straight Shooters Media Inc. (Unitel-SSMI), Solar Pictures, Sinag Maynila, and other directors, producers and members of the media production.
 
 




 
A B2B Session was held before the event, followed by the seminar. Ms. Hyejin Jang, the senior assistant manager of KTO Manila, discussed the overview of Korea movie/drama industry and the support KTO will be giving for shooting in a Korea Location. Ms. Hailie Misung Zo, the representative from Seoul Film Commission presented the Korea's Film Location and Incentive, while Mr. Sejin Park, Producer from Live Motion Pictures, Inc. (Korea Production), presented the Korea Production Services Case Study: Dramaworld.
 
 




 
  In between the seminar, Mr. Yohan Hwang, grand winner of ABS-CBN's I Love OPM - Original Pilipino Music, serenaded the crowd with his rendition of "Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak" by local artist Gary Valenciano. He also sang "Say it! What are you doing? (말해! 뭐해?)" originally sung by K.Will, which is part of the official soundtrack of the popular drama Descendants of the Sun.



The event was a success ending with a question and answer segment with the presenters and a raffle draw of special Korea items to 5 lucky winners.
