Korea’s major shopping and tourism festival

 Korea, a shopping paradise and a leading tourism destination, is celebrating a month-long shopping and tourism festival – Korea Sale Festa. The festival was developed with the cooperation of distribution, manufacturing, tourism, and culture industries, and the Korean government.  It runs from September 28 to October 31 and is catered specifically to foreign visitors, enabling them to get big and exclusive discounts when shopping for products and goods in various department stores, super markets, online shopping malls, traditional markets, and manufacturers in Korea. The promotion is participated by 8 major global shopping malls in the country, each offering attractive discount promotions, special price items, coupon events, free shipping, buy one get one free events – among others. A big sale event also happens in the main shopping streets of Myeongdong and Dongdaemun. Various cultural events and local festivities will also be held throughout the country via the Korean Wave Cultural Festival.


Now on its second year, the Korea Sale Festa is hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA); sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Post.
