AMID RECENT NEWS KOREA REMAINS SAFE AND STABLE

Amid the November attack on the Northwestern island of Yeonpyeongdo and beyond the overwhelming coverage the incident received from the international press, life for Koreans and for international tourists remains safely and pleasantly unchanged.

 

According to a joint statement issued by Lee Charm, CEO of the Korea Tourism Organization and CEOs of the Regional Tourism Organizations,” the Korean government has responded promptly, taking swift action and appropriate measures to resolve the situation, as the entire country remains calm and stable”.

 

In addition, accommodation facilities and airlines are operating as normal and foreign visitors are safely enjoying their tours in Korea. The tourism organizations of Korea will continue to put their highest efforts forward to ensure the safety and convenience of residents, tourists, travelers, and visitors.

  

This tangible sense of security and stability can be further confirmed by the fact that no Travel Alerts or Travel Warnings were issued by the US Bureau of Consular Affairs after a thorough and continuous evaluation.   Confidently continue your support and travel plans to Korea, which remains secure, wholesome, and immutably friendly.

The sudden artillery attack on Yeonpyeongdo on the 23rd of November has stunned the Korean tourism industry. However, the South Korean government has responded promptly, taking swift action and appropriate measures to resolve the situation, as the entire country remains calm and stable.
