Rudy Maxa Named Honorary Tourism Ambassador

Rudy Maxa, one of America’s premier consumer travel experts whose writings, radio and television shows have helped save thousands of travelers time, money, giving them the opportunity to have fuller and far richer destination experiences around the globe, has been named Honorary Tourism Ambassador to Korea in the United States by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).
 

With the nomination Rudy will be spreading his insight and increasing Korea's brand recognition among Americans everywhere while also advising on promotional initiatives of Korea as a leisure destination.  Rudy Maxa will serve as Honorary Tourism Ambassador from August 2011 until July, 2013.
 

A former Washington Post reporter for 13 years, Rudy Maxa is a contributing editor with National Geographic Traveler and Delta Air Lines’ Sky magazine. His nearly 100 public television episodes on the great destinations of the world have numerous awards including several Emmy Awards. His weekend radio show, “Rudy Maxa's World,” is the country’s most widely syndicated travel talk radio show.  Rudy has appeared several times as a special guest on CNN and Fox TV.  Recently, his Korea Episode of “Rudy Maxa’s World” was awarded the CINE Golden Eagle.  The Korea Episode has been airing on PBS since October of 2010 through PBS.
