This October, the Korean government is holding its very first global shopping tourism festival called the Korea Sale FESTA (an acronym for Festival, Entertainment, Shopping, Tour and Attraction). Tourists won’t be disappointed with the large number of cultural and Hallyu events, accommodation discounts, and shopping offers and that the festival has to offer.  The festival is divided into three major themes: Shopping, Festival, and Tour.

The biggest discounts will be offered during these 11 days at various department stores, markets, online shopping malls, duty free shops, and traditional markets. Check any major retail shopping centers, online or offline, to see if they have any promotions going on during this time!

For the entire month of October, the event will sponsor 18 contents and cultural festivals and 37 regional festivals! Some noteworthy festivals include the Hangeul Cultural Festival (10/9 - 10/10), the K-food Festival (10/21 - 10/22), and Culture Day (10/27).

(10/1 – 10/31)

The Korea Sale FESTA Tour offers special deals for tourists ranging from discounts for shopping centers, flight and transportation, and entertainment. Travelers can even get up to 70% off for accommodations.
