The Red Carpet Rolls Out For The 8th Annual Busan Film Festival

(Fort Lee, NJ) – From October 2 through 10, 2003 visitors to Busan, Korea’s 2nd largest city, will be treated to a cinematic extravaganza at the 8th Annual Busan International Film Festival.

Approximately 200 films will be shown from over 60 nations, and the festival will attract at least 4,000 fans and workers from the film industry from some 40 countries.

This year's festival includes 8 different themes. "A Window on Asian Cinema" will showcase new and sensational films produced by Asian directors who are on the verge of stardom. "Korean Panorama" will present outstanding new Korean films, and “Wide Angle," will introduce an eclectic mix of film shorts and documentaries from all around the world. “Open Cinema” will display quality films suitable for the whole family and other popular films.

The feature films will run 4 to 5 times per day, at participating theatres throughout Busan. Audience members can even take part in selecting the festival winners.
