(Fort Lee, NJ) - In a bid to rekindle interest in future PATA Conferences with the decline in attendance over the last few years, the 2004 PAC Host Committee will be fully committed to attracting delegates for the 2004 PATA Annual Conference (PAC), held from April 18-22 at the International Convention Center Jeju (ICC-Jeju), on Jeju Island, Korea.

The Committee has prepared brand-new and diverse programs that will continue to promote the conference through the 20 overseas offices of the Korea National Tourism Organization (KNTO).

The four strategies adopted to ensure a successful conference are as follows:

First, meetings and seminars will be held mostly in the morning, and afternoons are kept free to allow for more leisure time and sightseeing;

Second, various complimentary tours for delegates as well as spouses will be arranged to showcase Jeju's beautiful scenery. Free bicycles will also be rented out to all the delegates who wish to enjoy short excursions on Jeju;

Third, KNTO will host Taekwondo lessons, a Korean traditional martial art, every morning for delegates, as well as organized hikes up Mr. Halla, which boasts breath-taking views;

Finally, the PATA Korea Chapter Annual General Meeting will be held in conjunction with the PATA Annual Conference. This is intended to attract more Korean delegates.

Furthermore, the Host Committee is also looking into inviting a well-known international figure as a keynote speaker, in order to rouse domestic and overseas interest and enhance the quality of the conference.

The Korea National Tourism Organization (KNTO) and the Jeju Provincial Government are certain that this conference will be a turning point for Jeju Island, a paradise less known to the world, to provide new business opportunities for Conference participants, and make Jeju a world-famous destination.
