Amateur and professional photographers are being sought to enter the KNTO’s 32nd Annual Tourism Photo Contest. Award amounts vary, but the grand prize is valued at 5,000,000 Korean won (approximately $4,300 US) and will be awarded directly by the Korean President. Runner up prizes range from 200,000 to 3,000,000 Korean Won (~ $175 to $2,500 US). All winning submissions will become exclusive property of the Korea National Tourism Organization and will be distributed through the KNTO international network, and will be made available to travel agents and the media.

Entry into the contest is free and is open to both Koreans and foreigners. Each participant is limited to 30 photo submissions. Photos must be taken in Korea, but may cover the whole range of tourism-related subjects, including resorts, traditions, cultural assets, the arts, people, festivals, leisure & sports, aspects of modern Korea, shopping, nightlife. There are two contest divisions the Film Photo and Digital Photo divisions. Contest deadline for the film photo division is June 3, 2004 and for the digital photo division is May 30, 2004. Winners will be announced on the Korea Photo website (www.photo-korea.org) on July 21, 2004.
