(FT. LEE, NJ) AUGUST 24, 2004 – The Korea Meetings and Conventions Division of the Korea National Tourism Organization announced their new and improved English website for Meetings & Convention Planners for the U.S. market as well as the new 2004-2005 Meeting Planners Guide.

The 240 page English guide contains the information on all meeting and convention facilities in South Korea; hotels, facility floor plans, meeting room capacity, and additional facilities within.

The guide also contains the information on event/meeting planning agents, event retail companies, translation services, and travel agents. Regional festivals and events as well as tourist attractions are included to make for easy planning.

It is important to note that according to the 2003 Union of International Associations (UIA) statistics, Korea rates second among Asian countries and Seoul is second among popular Asian cities holding international organization meetings.

Korea also has an abundance of culture, 5000 years worth of history, cuisine, and warm-hearted people that all combine to make a truly memorable and exciting trip for all visitors. Korea has seen the grand opening of several convention facilities in cities such as Busan, Daegu, Jeju, as well as Seoul. All these cities have local CVB organizations that can support your meetings and conventions in Korea.

The guide may also be downloaded for the planner’s convenience at the new Korea Convention Bureau English website: http://www.koreaconvention.org/eng/main.asp
