DREAMING OF A WORLD WORTH LIVING…THROUGH THE EXCITEMENT OF THE MASK DANCE

(FT. LEE, NJ) AUGUST 29, 2004 – The Korea National Tourism Organization and the Andong Mask Festival organizers, Andong City’s Department of Tourism, Culture, and Sports invite you to experience Korea as Queen Elizabeth had on her 73rd birthday celebration.

The Andong Mask Dance Festival, marking its 8th anniversary this year, in the home of Korea’s Confucian culture, the theme “Dream of Bride,” will also feature refined domestic and international mask dance performances. At Hahoe Village, which has been designated as one of Korea’s cultural assets, visitors will not only be able to enjoy the spectacle of mask dance performances in the pristine pine tree forests, but also the splendid Hahoe Seonyujulbulnori, the highlight of Korea’s traditional fireworks, which will be featured across the night sky, leaving an unforgettable impression on the memories of visitors.

International mask dance performances, Seonyujulbulnori fireworks, mask dance lessons, Korean traditional music performances, mask-making, Korean puppet shows, and the 34th Andong Folk Festival.

From Seoul, Andong is approximately 3hours and 30 minutes by bus.
