KNTO NEW YORK ANNOUNCES KOREA 2004 TOTAL PASSES 500,000 MARK
KNTO announces total worldwide passengers surpassed
500,000 in 2004. This reflects a dramatic increase of
21% from the previous year, and we anticipate more
this year.
Tourism officials attribute the increased visitation
primarily to the Korean Wave in Asia, the recovery of
the Asian economy from
fears of travel during last year’s SARS epidemic.
Furthermore, Americans U.S. travel has rebounded
dramatically as fears of terrorism, the war in Iraq,
and the worries about the future of the American
economy subside.
