KOREA WINS BID FOR 2007 ASTA International Destination Expo

FT. LEE, NJ, FEBRUARY 23, 2005: Mr. Yong-Ku Hwang Executive Director, Korea National Tourism Organization’s New York Office, announced the successful bid of Korea being selected host nation of the 2007 ASTA International Destination Expo to be hosted on Korea’s idyllic paradise island Jeju.

“The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) is the world’s largest and most influential association for travel professionals representing 140 countries and a membership of 20,000 – plus,” said Executive Director Hwang. “With the competition being extremely tough I worked very hard to build the important relationships, lobby, and showcase all Korea has to offer as a destination in order to be successful for the 2007 ASTA International Destination Expo bid.”
