The Korea National Tourism Organization, Chicago Office is proud to announce that Prairie Public Broadcasting and NDSU have successfully completed their tour of Korea. Their intentions for this trip were to create and foster economic and educational exchanges between North Dakota and Korea, especially in the agriculture field, with Prairie Public TV documenting their trip to show to its Midwest viewers about Korea, its culture, history and its value as a growing trade partner with the American Midwest.
The NDSU group comprised several local businessmen, local government officials, students and a few professors. They visited such sites as the DMZ, Seoul, Jejudo Island, Gyeongju and Daejeon, with their trip culminating with a plant inspection of Haechandle Nonsan Plant in Gumsan Korea and an interview with the President of the Gyeonggido Tourism Board.
