Continuing on from 'Korea University's National Taekwondo Championship for Teenagers' in 2003 and 2004, we are pleased to inform you that 'Korea University 100th Anniversary Global Taekwondo Championship' will be held from July 2-3, 2005 in Seoul, the capital of Korea and the center of taekwondo. This championship, endorsed by KTA (Korea Taekwondo Association) and sponsored by Korea University, is a commemoration of Korea University's 100th anniversary and will carry the theme of celebrating peace and harmony through taekwondo.

Korea University, one of the prestigious universities in Korea, which assumes liberty, justice, and truth as its basic motto, has always taken an active role in the history of Korea. It has educated Korea's best students for 100 years and is now emerging as a global university as well.

Taekwondo is the unique form of martial arts in Korea and have developed to become a global sport with 50 million members in 180 countries around the world. It has been designated as an event in the Olympics, thus solidating its position among the various world sports.

The organizers of this competition have prepared this championship to celebrate
the peace and harmony of taekwondo athletes around the world so that taekwondo
trainees may have a chance to try out and display what they have learned so far.
