The Korea National Tourism Organization (KNTO) has launched a new service, “Today’s Korean Expression”, as a part of its international promotional web site www.tour2korea.com.

As a result of the increasing interest in Korean Pop Culture or the "Korean Wave", known as "Hallyu", many foreigners are interested in learning the Korean language. This new service sets out to satisfy the desires of these foreign citizens and also prepares them to feel more at home in Korea by providing useful expressions to make their trip to Korea more enjoyable.

“Today’s Korean Expression” offers simple Korean expressions in dialogue style related to Korea’s tour sites and culture. This service is provided by Tour2Korea.com in 8 different languages (English, Japanese, Simplifed and Traditional Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Russian) on the main page. The service also offers audio tracks to promote more accurate pronunciation, translations, and explanations for better understanding. The contents are updated daily except on weekends.

KNTO has also been running an intermediate level Korean language skills course online through www.tour2korea.com since January 2005. Since its launch, the Korean language corner has recorded approximately 450,000 visitors, an average of about 2,500 visitors daily.
