2. Venue: Seogwipo, Jeju Island, Korea

6. Race Course:
Swim 3.8 km: The two-loop swim takes place at Jungmun Beach where the white sands lay under a sheer cliff making for a spectacular swim venue. The average water temperature is approximately 75 degree F. unless water temperature is unseasonably warm, wetsuits are allowed.
Bike 180.2 km: The unique one-loop bike course tours the southern coastal region of Jeju Island and features urban areas, coastal fishing villages, cultural landmarks and rural roads. The course highlight is the scenic road through the foothills of Mt. Gogeun, the Island’s volcanic peak.
Run 42.195 km The race’s new three-loop run course removes a significant hill from the 2004 course.
Finish Line The finish line, located in the international plaza of Seogwipo’s 2002 World Cup Stadium, creates one of the most spectacular Ironman events especially when the sun goes down and the Stadium lights up.
