2006 Designated as “Visit Jeju Year”
This coming year marks the 60th Anniversary of Jeju Do Province and will also be the Year to
Visit Jeju Island!
Jeju is located just South of the Korea mainland and is often referred to as the “Hawaii of Korea” due to the island’s beauty and popularity amongst honeymooners. Jeju is known as the premier tourist destination in Korea because of the stunning natural scenery and superior tourist amenities. Scenic beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves lay in harmony, and the mild weather makes Jeju-do an even more ideal tourist destination.
Accommodations on Jeju island are equally as impressive. Jungmun Resort is an integrated tourism and recreation complex situated near the beautiful Cheonjeyeon Falls and clean white beaches. Various sport, recreational and accommodation facilities are included in the 420-acre area. There are deluxe hotels, a golf course, an oceanarium, a botanical garden, a shopping complex, a traditional-style fishing village with hotels, a tourist information center and many other facilities.
Here you will find hotels such as Shilla Hotel, Lotte Hotel, and the Hyatt that are internationally well known because celebrities often visit from abroad. The seashore of the Jungmun Tourist Complex is especially beautiful, and it is often used as a shooting location for movies, dramas, and commercials.
In addition to the amazing accommodations and natural settings of Jeju Island, it has become well known to the world as a summit meeting venue, having already hosted historical peace summits and has been recognized as the “Island of Peace”.
Jeju is an outstanding vacation land in Northeast Asia and it awaits you!
