Anyang to host the 2006 World Roller Speed Skating Championships

This year the great city of Anyang, a mountainous region in the Gyeonggi Province of Korea will host the 2006 World Roller Speed Skating Championships. This years Roller Speed Skating Championships will include 12 competing events. Anyang is 25km from Seoul Korea and is accessible by the local subway. Kwanak Mountain is a natural treasure in this province and looks like a crown. Remains of Buddhism are identified in this village. Anyang’s economy is partly based on the manufacturing of electronics. Countries from all over the world are going to be in attendance at this great world event. The following countries represent the greatest amount of participants: Chinese Taipei; Italy; Columbia; Korea; and the United States of America. This is a great sport and has a strong possibility of being in the 2016 Olympic Games. Speed Skating has become a popular sport since the 1990’s and has grown to be an international competitive event. Korea is pleased to host this great competitive event. Anyang is a great city and is very welcoming. Visitors should take advantage of its great culture including the city's well known orchestra.
