LA KICKS OFF VISIT GYEONGBOK 2007!
Korea Tourism Los Angeles welcomed officials from the Korean Province of Gyeongsangbukdo at a March 22 reception. The delegation was headed by Governor Kim Kwan Yong and members of his staff. This year has been designated "Visit Gyeongsankbukdo Year 2007" by the Korean Government. The province, Korea's largest, is located southeast of the capital city of Seoul. Once the location of the famed Silla Dynasty, the region is full of well preserved remants of its glorious 1000 year reign. For this reason, the region is a major tourist attraction. The city of Gyeongju is the key destination whose two UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto are not to be missed. Later in the year the city will host the upcoming Gyeongju World Culture Expo. For information on this region or the rest of Korea, please contact us at LA@kntoamerica.com or (323) 634-0280 x221
