The KTO Chicago office and Global Tracks (a professional travel management company specializing in business immersion opportunities, international travel logistics, and cultural experiences for Executive MBA and MBA programs, started by Joann Chaney) have started to partner together since 2005 to sell Korea as a premier destination for EMBA & MBA field trip groups. The trips are either planned as a total emersion trip of 7-14 days (Korea only) or as a comparison/contrast trip (combing Korea + another Asian country) with China, Japan, Vietnam or Thailand.

After sending numerous groups and hundreds of students to Korea together over the past two years, their combined efforts were recognized by the KTO by selecting this program as one of two winners in the North American Market for the Best Tourism Package, which paid a $10,000 prize and also granted a special advertising budget of $15,000 to Global Tracks to market this emerging tourism product to EMBA & MBA programs in North America.

The KTO will again this year join Joann Chaney & Global Tracks at the EMBA Conference (www.emba.org), which will be held in Toronto Canada (October 21-24) and we will co-sponsor a Korea event (Desserts & Night Caps) to be held in the later evening after one of the dinner functions. We hope to have the opportunity to tell a large group of University school administrators about the ‘sparkling’ Korean business environment, economy & the companies that are thriving there, such as Hyundai, Samsung, LG, Hanjin Shipping, Pohong Steel and SK Telecom just to name a few.

The KTO Chicago branch office & Global Tracks co-hosted a successful 7 night 8 day FAM trip (5 Star Accommodation, transportation & meals) for 10 Universities (15 people including Joann Chaney & Chicago Office Marketing Manager Brad Brennan) to Korea this past March. We will again be co-hosting another FAM trip for university administrators in the first week of April 2008 to highlight Korea as the perfect venue for EMBA/MBA Field Trips. Global Tracks and the KTO will be giving away a spot for free on the upcoming Korea FAM to a lucky individual who attends the EMBA conference.

As the former director of credit travel programs for Purdue University, Joann worked with more than 30 professors sending 150 groups to 47 different countries. Joann's business style of “knowing your clients” provides added value and a personal touch to all Global Tracks services.
