Free Shuttle Bus Between Busan And Gyeongju For Tourists To Korea

In celebration
of the 2010-2012 Visit Korea Year, the Visit Korea Committee announced that as
of 1st July 2010, a free shuttle bus has commenced services between Busan and
Gyeongju. All international tourists and international residents are free to
take advantage of this service, which will be offered until the end of 2012.
Busan is Korea’s second biggest city and Gyeongju is Korea’s cultural heart known as the ‘Museum without walls’. UNESCO designated ‘Gyeongju’ as a World Heritage area and prides itself as the former capital of the Shilla Dynasty, making it a ‘must-visit’ area of the country.
Buses run once a day, six days a week (no buses on Sundays). The bus departs from Lotte Hotel Busan at 8:30 a.m., passes by the Paradise Hotel Busan around 9:00 am, and arrives at the Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex at 10:30 a.m. The bus departs from the tourist complex at 5 p.m., passes Haeundae, Busan around 6:30 p.m. and returns to Seomyeon, Busan at 7:00 p.m.
Since June 1st, 2010 the Visit Korea Committee has run a similar free shuttle bus service between Seoul and Jeonju, and Seoul to Gyeongju.
