Thanks to the stable growth in
Korean Air’s international passenger business, as well as Korean-inbound and
transit traffic, the airline posted operating revenues of 2,719 billion KRW, a
year-on-year increase of 6.3%, and an operating profit of 145 billion KRW.
The airline posted overall
respective growths of 2.0% and 3.0% with regard to international passenger
capacity and traffic compared to the corresponding period of the previous year
In addition, Korean Air is now
serving passengers in Economy Class a low-calorie, healthy option on flights
over eight hours. Always keen to promote passenger health and well-being,
Korean Air is one of the first airlines to offer organic salads and breads. The
new menu item, a salmon noodle salad, is contains only 380 calories and is
expected to be hit with an increasingly more health-conscious travelling
public. Korean Air has a much celebrated reputation for the high quality of its
healthy in-flight meals in all classes.
