‘Korea in Motion,’ a representative cultural performance
festival in Korea, celebrates the art of
non-verbal performances. Events and activities are held for an entire month in
the downtown theaters. Since there’s very little (if any) spoken dialogue
throughout each performance, the language barrier is nonexistent.
Performers
use gestures, sounds, rhythms, and beats to interact with audience members,
giving each of the performances wide audience appeal. This year’s festival
presents many exciting opportunities including the ‘Performance Grand Sale,’
offering special discounts on on-going performances, and ‘KoInMo Day’ (Korea in Motion Day) through which visitors can enjoy
selected performances for only 10,000 won. On the last day of the festival
(September 30), the Korea Tourism Organization will present the ‘Korea in
Motion Awards’ at a ceremony held at the T2 Madang located in front of the KTO
headquarters.
