Korea Tourism Organization is
delighted to announce that British Airways will start flying to Seoul in December
2012 in the first addition to its long-haul schedule following parent company
IAG’s purchase of BMI.
BA will operate six flights a
week to Seoul and sales of the flights started on 3rd of May in
preparation for the service to begin on 2nd December 2012
A
Boeing 777, with First class, Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus
(premium economy) and World Traveller (economy) cabins, will serve the six
flights a week to Seoul.
The
outbound flight to Seoul arrives at the beginning of the working day there and
the flights have been timed in order to allow convenient connections to British
Airways’ extensive domestic and European short haul network to and from
Heathrow.
Mr.
Hongki Kim, Director of the Korea Tourism Organization commented that ‘BA’s
decision to fly to Seoul will further reflect the continuing popularity of
Korea. Visitor figures to Korea from the UK have been rising steadily in recent
years and to have greater choice for the consumer on the London to Seoul route
will enhance the destination appeal and create new travel partnerships’.
