The latest figures from the Union of International Associations ranks Korea 5th in world for international meetings with a total of 563 events held in 2012.

Korea’s capital Seoul came 5th in the city rankings, beating many other more established cities in this market.

To continue to grow the MICE market the Korea Tourism Organisation will be exhibiting at the Meetings Show, Olympia 9th-11th July, (stand J30).

KTO will be showcasing the variety of venues and activities available in its aim to attract even more companies and associations to hold their events in Korea.

Representatives from specialist Korean destination management companies, some of whom have flown in for the event, will also be on hand to discuss requirements and provide detailed planning for buyers.

Speaking about the UIA figures, Michael Michael, Marketing Manager of the Korea Tourism Organisation’s London office said “It is great that Korea is performing so well in this market and the UIA figures prove that the country is now being recognised for its state of the art venues, facilites and extremely high levels of service”.
