At this year’s event, KTO’s focus will be on introducing the rising destination of Busan to the Nordic market. Finnair will launch direct flights from Helsinki to Busan on 30th March 2020, creating a new gateway for both tourists and business travellers visiting Korea from Europe.
Video advertisements promoting Busan will play in and around Messukeskus Exhibition Center for the duration of the travel fair, while representatives from Busan Metropolitan Government and Busan Tourism Organization will join KTO on their stand in order to answer questions and promote the city with special gifts.
In addition, visitors to the KTO stand will be able to collect general information about travel to Korea, as well as try their hand at learning Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, by creating personalised souvenirs.
Ahead of MATKA, KTO will also host a Korea night for members of the travel industry on Tuesday 14th January to highlight the rising prominence of the destination. Representatives from Busan, Finnair, and several Korean DMCs will be in attendance to meet press and industry professionals, along with His Excellency Cheon Joonho, the Korean Ambassador to Finland.
