JOB OPENING

 

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is the National Tourism Organization of the Republic of Korea, with offices located worldwide to promote and boost tourism to Korea, so as to make it one of the top destinations in the world.

The KTO Singapore Office is looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individual for the following position:

Korea Tourism Organization MICE & Event Manager.

 

Yearly based contract (including 2-months probation) | S$3,600~S$5,400 (commensurate with experience)

As a Korea Tourism Organization MICE & Event Manager, your key responsibilities on the job include:

 

1)   Event Planning and Management

· Organizing and executing company-related events

· Liaise with various stakeholders internally and externally to ensure success of event

· Arrange and execute presentations on behalf of KTO Singapore at events

· Provide creative and innovative ideas to market Korea as a travel destination

 

2)   MICE

· Handling enquiries for trade, consumers, organizers with regards to MICE and  travel related products and services

· Execute and follow through incentive claims and operational support for MICE events

· Manage and coordinate MICE related trade fairs

· Invite, arrange and manage travel agents and media to FAM trips and trade shows

· Organize and execute regular MICE & travel campaigns, workshops and seminars to trade partners and consumers

· Maintain offline and online advertising for MICE department

· Monthly report based on market analysis and research

· Solicit business opportunities with 3rd parties to promote Korea (eg. MICE planners, event organizers, etc)

 

3)   Others

· Ad-hoc tourism research work

· Ad-hoc participation in events

· Arrange ad-hoc business appointments between visitors from to Singapore tourism bodies

· Other ad-hoc duties (assigned by Director, and Manager)

 

Applicants should possess at least the following requirements:

1) Singaporean citizenship or PR

2) Diploma in tourism, event management or any related fields

3) Experience in MICE field would be added advantage

4) Excellent written and spoken English language, good public speaker

5) Basic skill in conversational and written Korean would be an added advantage

6) Knowledge of MICE Industry in Korea would be an added advantage

7) Able to commence employment in November 2019

 

Recontract opportunities are available based on assessment after 1 year.
